hi fran,
my favorite way to "iron" paintings is to layer them between sheets of
newsprint and stick them in the old (antique!) dry mount press. there
might be one stashed away in your building somewhere. check with the
custodian or at your district storage facility if you have one. no one
uses them anymore but they really are great for this purpose.
