The artist who gave me permission to use his drawings has rescinded
the offer. I fully stated my purpose when I asked for permission - I
was not deceptive in any way.... and he fully approved my lesson plan
once it was published on the site (and even pointed out my typos).
Today, he changed his mind. Now, legally, I would not need to remove
his images - but I did and will replace them with my own drawings in
time. The artist did them as a studio assignment in a college design
class. He has also removed them from his site.
I made it clear to him that the idea was not original and now have the
source listed on my plan where I saw it first..... way back in the
1980's when I was substitute teaching. I have credited the art teacher
who did the lesson.
Just thought I would pass this on... in case any of you saved the post
and wanted to revisit the lesson link later.
