[teacherartexchange] Pablita Velarde Dies

Santa Clara Pueblo artist Pablita Velarde passed away
on Tuesday. She was 87. Velarde died in Albuquerque, her
home for the last 50 years. Her Tewa name is Tse Tsan, or
Golden Dawn. She became known as a foremost American Indian
painter creating scenes from her childhood in the Pueblo
of Santa Clara. I've included a link if you are not
familiar with her work.
