Dear Art Educators,

I have been browsing the KET web site.
http://www.ket.org/artstoolkit/
There are some good lessons and resources. You will have to register
to get some of them. It only takes a short time to register and you
get approved immediately. You can enter your school address if you
wish. I didn't enter any phone number.

If you delete your "cookies" all you have to do the next time you
visit is enter the email address you submitted (I used my Yahoo
address. I highly recommend you get a Yahoo address or Gmail address
to enter on web sites like this).

Here is the link to the Art Criticism worksheet. It walks the student
through the process quite easily:
http://www.ket.org/artstoolkit/varts/artcrit.htm
a four-step process for responding to and evaluating works of art

The have the writing activity for each level - you select what level
you need - or add you own step 4.

Art Criticism recently came up on ArtsEducators list, so I thought I
would pass this on to everyone.

They also have a basic art vocabulary on the site:

Visual Art Lesson Plans:
http://www.ket.org/artstoolkit/varts/lessonplan/

I found this site surfing for Curriculum Maps...
Link on is on this page:
http://www.education.ky.gov/KDE/Instructional+Resources/Curriculum+Documents+and+Resources/Teaching+Tools/Curriculum+Maps/Primary+School+Arts+and+Humanities+Curriculum+Maps.htm

There is a link to the curriculum maps - Christian County Web Site.

I will be adding the Visual Art Toolkit site to my Comprehensive Arts
page. You might want to browse the other arts to see how you can
integrate/collaborate with the other arts.

Regards,

Judy Decker
