Art-Educator-Buddies,
I have no idea how long I have been on this list. I go way back as MarshArt
and had to change my screen name because of the trash-mail I was receiving.
Every now and then, I say a prayer of thanks for Judy Decker and her
faithful dedication to us. Seriously, she has been a mentor to so many that we
cannot even count. The IAD has been a blessing. Also, to Ken Schwab and Marvin
Bartel, you have been an encouragement and mentor to me for soooo amny years.
Bunki, you have too. I know there are others and I say thanks.
To all, I hope your 2006 is the best. Unfortunately, I only went to one
NAEA, in Miami, and I met many of you for the first time. Every year I wish I
could go but conferences come out of my art budget and I feel that I would be
taking away from the kids for my own selfish interest.
I love what I do. I love my "kids" and believe in them and they give me back
every ounce of effort they have. That is my reward. I will be at NAEA
longingly in "spirit". I just got my SS card and intend to keep going and inspiring
the next generation. The students think I'm a "kid" anyway!
To all, Happy, healthy New Year. Let's make a difference.
Blessings,
Marsh in CHILLY Orlando, FL where Mickey will freeze his bottom tonight.
