[teacherartexchange] mac help needed

Any mac person with a suggestion, please get back to me.

My powerbook went dead on me. The connection for power from
the transformer is not lit up. The screen just went black
while I was using it. I hope it's something simple like
the battery. But shouldn't it work with a bad battery
since it was plugged in at the time ? I tried taking out
the battery and reinserting it. That trick works on a PC
laptop. No such luck. One strange thing is: there is a
very small light at the base of the cover which continues
to blink.

Should I buy a new battery ? Is there a magic set of keys
to push ? Should I replace the transformer ? Or, should
I find a repair shop ?

Any mac person with a suggestion, please get back to me.
