Lauryn,
I recently ran across this listing while looking for something else....
Making Sense of Art: Sensory Based Art Activities for Children with Autism,
Asperger Syndrome and Other Pervasive Developmental Disorders by Sandra R.
Davalos $23.95
available from www.asperger.net Code 9904
It sounds like your new students may be more severe than this however, the
basic idea in working with all special needs populations is to break down
the process into small, easy steps that make sense to the individual with
the disability so I wonder if this book might be helpful to you. I have
not seen the book in person nor have I used it but I pass it along as a
possible resource.
Cindy
