Children's book author Thacher Hurd spoke to our docents class
today. You must have his book "Art Dog". The Albuquerque Museum
currently has an exhibit called "From Goodnight Moon to Art Dog".
The exhibition is about the careers of Thacher's parents, Edith
and Clement Hurd as well their son Thacher. If you have or teach
elementary children you need to be aware of Thacher's books.

Art Dog is about a super hero who is a museum guard by day who
paints art on city walls by night. Thieves attempt to steal the
Mona Woofa from the Dogopolis Museum of Art. Art Dog comes to
the rescue. You must have this book and learn more about this
family history of children's book creators.
