would require dozens of pieces of wall décor.
Once we gathered the information about sizes,
styles, etc. that would be appropriate for
the project, we performed the appropriate
searches and presented Gena with 380 choices.
Gena narrowed the list to 70 works.

We are frequently asked by artists to,
"please take a look at my art"
or some variation on that theme. What
is implicit in the request is that we
will fall in love, create a market for
this artist, and ride off into the sunset
together.

However,
all of us should face the fact that
there are no secrets, no magic potions,
no shortcuts to success. The path to
success requires hard work. If in the
real estate world it is Location, Location,
Location; then in the art world it is
Exposure, Exposure, Exposure.

can you do to ensure your art will be
"exposed" to the right buyers?
First, be aware not all buyers are created
equal. There is a retail and a wholesale
buyer. Frankly, the wholesale buyer
influences most retail purchases, which
is why we spend most of our marketing
dollar attracting the wholesale buyers
for our artists.

years ago the hosts of the Artexpo New
York developed SOLO as an entry level
booth exposure for early stage artists.
SOLO puts an artist’s work on
the floor of the Jacob Javits Center
along side the best known and best selling
artists and publishers on earth. In
this special section on the floor artists
just like you differentiate themselves
from all of the artists afraid to take
a chance. Each year approximately
15,000 buyers attend this show to make
art selections for the new year.
