You are all getting wise advice. NEA does give you the extra coverage. The
district will only cover themselves first. You will have to prove you were
acting correctly. The rules is parentis absenteeism ( sorry I did not take
Latin) Like a parent would in that situation. What your union will do,
will be to stick with you through out. I am Union til I die also. Randy in
