Or, create your own "culture!" As a departure from papier mache masks
when I taught HS, the students designed hats that said something about
themselves. Three in particular I remember were a pizza hat (created by
a self-contained EMH student, and boy, it really did look like a pizza
on his head!); a basketball hat; a Hopi hat that made use of some Hopi
motifs and headdress style (the student was half Hopi).
