Julie,
I absolutely loved reading your attachment. It helped me remember why I
am teaching. I felt like I knew your kids, the challenges, and your
love for them. Personally, I don't know if I could read this at a
presentation without getting emotional!
When we recently were talking about what was the highlight of our
teaching, certainly this type of thing is so clearly wonderful.
I would also add that for those who recently were wondering about
National Board Certification, this is the type of thing that really
illustrates a teacher who has made her plans flexible and with her
specific students in mind. That moment when you decided to forego your
own plans and take student input was dynamic. Congratulations!
