Maps from Space

The whole world is being mapped from space. Now Google is
making those maps available on the web. It might make a
good source for design in art classes. If you want to
check it out, go to Google, then click on "more >>>" on
the right hand side. Look for an icon called "Keyhole."
You need to be on a windows machine (real computer) for
it to work. I used my wife's PC. I'm a mac person. The trial
versions are free for 7 days. It costs $29 per year for
one version and $599 for the pro version. This is great
fun to play with so I got a free trial of the Pro version.
You can zoom in to almost anywhere. Some cities and areas
seem to be photographed in sharp detail. Other areas only
look good from afar. Just think, we are providing this to
the bad guys too. I'm attaching a pic I downloaded of my
neighborhood. I don't know what year it was taken, but it
was well before our house was built. Check this out.
