Supply List - I was introduced to "construction paper crayons", I think by
Crayola, at the VAEA convention in November. I don't use a lot of crayons in
middle school. but these will definitely be on my list this year. The colors
were terrific, especially on dark construction paper. Has anyone else used
these crayons? Are they new or am I just behind the curve!!??
Also, I just started using Scratch Art Foam for print making with sixth
graders. The prints aren't fantastic but we do a "reduction print" and by
printing two colors, the lack of quality is replaced with some very interesting
and unique results. The lids loved it! And the inexpensive foam plates
lasted through several rinsings and many prints.

Pariscraft- Yes, I use my small paper cutter to cut several rolls of
Pariscraft at the same time. I stack about three rolls so they unwind, as I pull
the other ends under the blade. I keep a stack of inexpensive face masks on
hand, and sometimes recruit the help of a mature 8th grader. We cut large
batches and store them in copy paper box tops. I also have a class set of box
tops, in which the students do their pariscraft work, to cut down on the
plaster dust. We empty excess mess in the trash after each class, and work under
construction can be stored in the box tops.
