I'd appreciate any help from techies out there. For years I used Dabbler with
my middle school students and had awesome results, however, since we now have
switched over to OSX, we are no longer using any software that runs on a
Classic mode. What I need to know, is there any program that incorporates the
special features Dabbler included such as the tracing paper, flip books and
animated cartoon drawing? We're pretty high up on the scale of computer usage with
our students but I don't want to teach in my art class an entire computer
program to acquire what I could get before with Dabbler. I do use Appleworks
Drawing and Painting modes with good results but it takes a bit more introduction
than Dabbler did.
The searching I've done mentions Corel Painter Essentials as an entry level
program to Painter, which I gather is similar to Adobe Elements is to
PhotoShop. Does anyone have experience with Essentials and can it do any of the
activities that Dabbler did or still does if you're not running OSX?
I need answers as I have money to spend for technology and need to place my
orders soon.
Thank you for any help you can offer me.
