I live for those clear plastic storage boxes! EVERYTHING in my art room is
organized in them and has a label. I keep all "stuff" in different size ones
and stack them. When a project calls for multi-media, we open the boxes,
and VOILA! Check when they are on sale- the shoe box size are really
inexpensive and often you can get them at the dollar stores. I use these in
combination with computer paper boxes. They are very sturdy and have great lids, too.
Ask your custodian to save the empty ones for you... and label!
O.k...I even admit that I try to keep my clear plastic boxes, big bins, and
computer paper boxes in alphbetical order, according to what's inside.
Necessity is the mother of invention, and 40 min. classes back to back means no
time to spend looking for needed materials. When a class is working with
materials, the boxes/bins stay out. When the project is finished, they are put
away. Of course, I have a supply room attached to my art room with shelves
for stacking, but, if I didn't, I would find room in my room to stack...
