I like Prang watercolors over Crayola. Colors are semi-moist and stay
brilliant. Also, the sets take refills and come with a good brush. I buy them by
color per dozen/box. Be sure you order the right refills. They come square half
pans and oval.

I always used Crayola markers but I have a few samples from Colorific and
they are brilliant and stay moist without the cover. I get Sharpies in fine and
extra-fine from Office Depot and colored Sharpie sets from Sax. Get fine
colored markers too. Crayola is OK.

For Elementary, I don't like Crayola colored pencils. Prang has them beat. In
high school we use Prismacolor and Ticonderoga.

For colored chalk, we have used Studio Art(?) in Sax catalog and they are a
good price and perform well.

Sax Tempera beats them all.

I have used Sax acrylic and Chromacryl acrylic and like both.

I get #2 pencils and eraser caps from Office Depot and order Design Ebony
drawing pencils from Sax. I also get Design kneaded erasers. I had gotten another
brand that came in a big jar and was all colors but it was more like silly
putty in texture and the kids didn/t like it/ Sorry, I don't remember the brand.
I like the Magic Rub eraser. Factis erasers get hard with time.

I use vine (Yarka) charcoal and pressed charcoal. Use cheap hair spray for
fixative.

I splurge on my paper. I get 80# white drawing paper from Sax. I use it for
all media. I get news print for sketching and have some erasable drawing paper
(1 ream) to use when we need to erase.

Then, I get the gammit of colored paper.12x18. I cut it for 9x12. I have a
ream of 18x24 white drawing paper too and same size newsprint paper. I use 140#
watercolor paper for high school, I get cold pressed, not rough.

Need loads of masking tape, scotch tape, staplers. I have a dozen small
staplers and can put 2 on each table. Elmer's white glue, not school glue. I don't
like Elmer's blue gel glue because heavier paper doesn't hold.

Bonus stuff you may want to consider....yarn, beads and feathers, metallic
papers, colored tissue paper, Scratchboards and tools, colored wire, buttons.
