I find that gel medium will hold most things to most things--in the
paper realm anyway. It works really well on slick magazine photos.
White glue is mostly useless.

this is cool resource....but <grin> when I put in paper to paper it
doesn't list "Yes!" paste...a fav for collage (along with wheat
paste)...anyone else have glue favorites to pass along for anything?
