Anyone have a good economical source for those 3d shapes that you use for
drawing lessons.

preferably white ( cones, pyramids, cubes, rectangular boxes, spheres)

Christine:
I use kleenex boxes (cubes and rectangular prisms!), paper towel rolls
(rods), but I buy small styrofoam cones and spheres at WalMart. I don't
like the styrofoam--I found the "glitter" aspect of it made it hard for
students to really zero in on highlights. Other possibilities would be
discarded white lamp shades for cones and old tennis balls you've primed
white for spheres.
