I love my digital camera! It is a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P10 with a Lens/Optical of 3x and 5.0 Mega Pixels. I usually don't use that many pixels, because I don't make the pictures large, and using the larger pixel setting takes more room on the memory sticks. It has a video recording feature, which is very fun, and it is a small size. I love the picture quality and the Smart Zoom lens.

What would be the minimum megapixel requirements? It all depends on how large you want your pictures to be. If you mainly want to print 4x6" pictures then a 3.2 megapixel would be fine. If you make larger prints, like 8X10s, then get a 4 or 5 megapixel camera.
