Whoops I sent this earlier under the wrong heading so sorry for the repeat
info:

I am writing to ask you for your advice.
I now teach at a Private school k-8 at two campuses.
k-5 at one campus (and it looks a bit shakey as to whether it will survive)
and 3-8 (7/8 combined as an elective 2x per week)
So in a nutshell I work 3 days full time and am considered part time.
I teach 16 hours

My boss has offered me full time for just 7th and 8th as an elective every
day.
I would see the same kids all year 5x a week for 45 min classes. 5- 6 classes
per day 25 - 30 classes per week.

My first reaction was ahhh. I love having a 4 day weekend and wish I would
use if for something constructive but I don't really.  It's my sanity, lazy, do
nothing but surf days.  And 7/8 th are most difficult ages of all.  But they
have offered a good salary and tuition reduction for my kids.  I could still
continue to do afterschool art classes for extra income (4x per week k5-6) but I
wouldn't have to financially anymore if I didn't want to.

Do you think the 7/8th schedule is doable.  I mean realistically?  They are
changing to non block schedule and need a class.  If I don't say yes, they will
hire a speech theater teacher for everyday.

What is you opinion?  Do any of your school kids have art that much and will
I have material?

Thanks for your time,
Brenda Robson
