Susan Lense in the library at CCAD (an awesome illustrator and MFA printmaker in her own right) would be a good resource. She would know which artists there would be most approachable, and she also might know someone else. (Also one of my dearest friends that I didn't get to meet for lunch this year due to travel constraints and the weather!) You can tell her Betty in Oklahoma sent you.

Also, I found the guys at stopmotionpro.com to be very helpful and responded to my questions about their software quickly. They also might write back to a 6th grader.

Was wondering if any of the members could point me in the right direction. I had a student from our sixth grade gifted class ask if I knew any animator that she could write or email who might actually reply.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks so much!
