A Scope and Sequence gives a person a quick overview of the curriculum. What
comes first, second, third, etc.

For instance;

K-introduce primary colors (red, yellow, blue)
     basic lines (horizontal, vertical, diagonal)
     basic shapes (circle, square, rectangle, oval, triangle)
     artists: Mondrian, Klee, Monet
 

1- review primary colors (red, yellow, blue)
     introduce secondary colors (purple, green, orange)
     review lines: horizontal, vertical, diagonal
      introduce lines: zig-zag, curved, wavy
     review basic geometric shapes
     introduce organic shapes
     artists: Van Gogh, O'Keeffe

2- review secondary colors
      introduce warm and cool colors
      etc, etc, etc.

Does this make sense? Every district has a different idea. But the basic
premise of the scope and sequence is to give a quick overview of the curriculum!
