It seems that collagraph is low image and results in just a basically flat print, whereas collograph uses more 3D materials in which they are actually pressed into the paper as well as printed - making the deeper embossing. At any rate, I teach in the same district as the creator of the ArtLex web site, so I'll see what he has to say about it.
