Ah ha! This rarely happens at my school but they put a kid in my ceramics
class bec. he got 4 referrals in study hall (poor dear). I fairly exempted him
from the assignments he was not in class for BUT he needed to complete the rest
of the curriculum as I taught it. He didn't take it seriously, did not finish
3 assignments at the end of the semester and ended up with a 77. The parent
complained to me and wanted me to give him an incomplete so he could come in to
do the work the following semester. Admin backed me up with a firm NO! The kid
got the 77. I have him again for next semester for 2D Design. Let's see what
happens. The parent tried to get him out of my 2D class. Admin said no. The
kid wished he had study hall back!
They are learning H.S.art is NOT a blow-off class!!! :>)
