we've kind of started on artist trading cards in my art club (I experiment on them). What has been really helpful to me is the Ellison die-cut of 2 playing cards. That way they can make a collage on tagboard and then I can cut them out and they can re-work if wanted.

  I did this as an assigment with my class too. I built it around a lesson on design principles. Their cards had to use a minimum of three principles. Worked out great. Nobody wanted to give up their cards to trade though!
