I think if it were me I would spend 2 days working with clay. The first day
do the project that they will glaze - maybe a pinch pot you could drop a
marble in. Tuesday's project could be finished with paint or stain.
Wednesday I would use airdry clay - maybe old fashioned flour/salt/water.
This could then be baked in an oven if necessary to dry. Thursday would be
spent glazing Monday's project and maybe working with model magic, then
Friday would be spent painting projects. I wouldn't allow anything thick due
to the allotted drying time. So with this time frame you would end up with 4
finished projects for 10 hours work - not too bad! I probably wouldn't spend
much (if any) time on history - 2 hours a day is really not alot of time to
create with clay if your students are 3rd grade & older.
