week long clay workshop

I am doing a week long workshop for children, ages 7-9, at a local private
school this summer. The question I have for those of you who do a lot of clay
is, can I teach only clay for 4 hours (2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon)
per day for five days? The program is set up for me to teach one intensive
week. With drying time and firing time, I cannot see how I can possibly do clay
for more than 2 or possibly three of the days. I was thinking I could do
hand-building on Monday, let the work dry over night, then bisque fire on Tuesday.
After that, I could glaze on Wednesday and then fire on Thursday to have the
work back by the end of class at 3pm on Friday. Logistically speaking I see only
two days for clay, one (Monday) for handbuilding, and one (Thursday) for
glazing. I could do underglazes with pre-fired bisque tiles or plates, etc on
Tuesday, to add more glazing ... Can any of you see another way to do more clay or
glaze work? I am just trying to figure it all out? My thanks in advance...
Best,
Robin
