Has anyone else had problems

I teach 9th grade Talented Art. My problem was students trying to turn in work
they did for the art teachers before me, to get a grade for my assignments.
One day one of those art teachers was visiting my room and she saw a project
she did with one of her former students on display, and commented on how proud
she was of that project that he did with her. Since then, I don't accept any
work from my students that doesn't at least START in my classroom. I also do
not assign homework because either they don't do it, they leave it at home, or
they get someone else to do it for them. My 13 years of experience with
teenagers has taught me A LOT! Kids try to put the wool over your eyes in the
most creative ways! I love it when they come up with something new!
