Value pencils - good idea

Some how we did things right with our own son -- what
I did with him worked with my students, too. My son
started buying his own fancy pencils in Middle School
- he treasured them (and so did other kids -as some
got stolen - but he just bought another).

When he took high school art - just one year - he went
out and bought his own pencils just for art class
(even though I had some he could use). Matt isn't
"gifted" in art....but he certainly is my gift
(smile).
