Finding out later how much of an effect we have made on our students

Another topic for discussion is this:
What happens to the kid after they have had your lesson that shows it
had an effect on them? For example, I just found out this morning
from the mother of one of my second graders that her favorite thing to
watch on tv is now "Trading Spaces" and any design show on HGTV. This
is due to the interiors project! She said this all started up in
November when we were deep into our projects. I was so thrilled her mom
told me. TO think she's only 7 and she cares about design!!!! Her name
is Addie, and her "Interiors" project is the first one up in the media
gallery for LS in www.sjs.org web gallery.
