Judy, I'm just trying to make sense of a lesson from Crayola.com- it's in their
lesson plan section using the "overwriter" markers.

I thought of a way to rephrase my question. Is the fabric pieced from
continuously woven strips, or are the strips pieced first, then assembled?

Here's a great link on Kente cloth-
http://www.nmafa.si.edu/exhibits/kente/design2.htm with an especially fun demo
on how to wear Kente cloth. I'm going to have kids try on a cloth- although
not with authentic fabric-- using the step by step from this site. This site
is great, but maybe I really need my hands on real fabric to "get it."
