What art do YOU do?

Being new to all of this, I often wonder how I am ever going to find the time to do my own art work. My area is design. I feel I need to stay connected to my own work to be a good teacher of art. Most of my time goes into lesson planning, and making samples. I was wondering what type of art everyone does and when you find time to do it?!?
