Thanks Kathy!

Tony - there are many DBAE Chats on this site that
will integrate Math and Science. I will point out some
for you.

School of Athens has MANY lessons:
http://www.fsus.fsu.edu/Educationcurriculum/chats/raphael/raphael.html
Mathematicians - Perspective...The lesson itself is
week compared to the other lessons on the site. But
this link is good to see some of the "players" in the
painting:
http://hypo.ge-dip.etat-ge.ch/www/athena/raphael/raf_ath4.html
Your teacher could develop this into a much stronger
math focus -- of course including other
Renaissance/perspective works -- and maybe the Masters
of Illusion video?

Leonardo da Vinci in Math:
http://www.fsus.fsu.edu/Educationcurriculum/chats/meade/index.html

Art Rocks - Andy Goldsworthy:
http://www.fsus.fsu.edu/Educationcurriculum/chats/artrocks/artrocks.html

There is a lesson by Larry Prescott on IAD for this
Chat:
http://www.princetonol.com/groups/iad/lessons/middle/Larry-natural.htm
I have another one I am working on too that could be
used.

Anatomy in Art - Leonardo da Vinci:
http://www.fsus.fsu.edu/Educationcurriculum/chats/anatomy/Leonardo%20Chat/Leo_Main.html

I can provide a number of Medical Illustration links
if this topic interest you...You could also connect
any scientific illustration.

Here is one for Chuck Close (Math) - but you will have
to download it:
http://www.fsus.fsu.edu/Educationcurriculum/chats/osceola/

These are all linked from:
Florida State University School.
http://www.fsus.fsu.edu/Educationcurriculum/DBAEchats.asp

Any teacher should be able to pick the good from these
lessons and incorporate it into his/her lesson. They
may need a bit of tweaking to make them fit. I did not
examine each lesson for quality.

Now for any elementary folks "listening". Many of you
were interested in "The Golf Stream" Here is an Chat
for elementary kids:
http://www.fsus.fsu.edu/Educationcurriculum/chats/KateSullivan/gulfstream/
One for "Snap the Whip"
http://www.fsus.fsu.edu/Educationcurriculum/chats/KateSullivan/SnaptheWhip/
Van Gogh's Bedroom:
http://www.fsus.fsu.edu/Educationcurriculum/chats/KateSullivan/vangogh/
Henri Rousseau:
http://www.fsus.fsu.edu/Educationcurriculum/chats/KateSullivan/Rouseau/main.html

Does anyone have a Golf Stream inspired student
project they could share? - or one on Children's games
for Snap the Whip? I have lessons to link Van Gogh and
Rousseau.

Cheers!

Judith
