We are doing renaisannce for prom - we are going to have rock walls for castles, and some of those wall sconces. Banners hanging would add to the atmosphere as well. These are just off the top of my head. Good luck. :-)

  My husband and I own an art supply store, and next weekend is our first Business Expo. The theme is "A Step Back in Time." We are wanting to do a renaissance -like theme. I had the idea of dressing up my husband like an artist, and doing a Mona Lisa backdrop, and getting someone to "dress up" as Mona. Also, wanted to get two pieces of wood, cut holes for heads, and then paint the front as famous paintings and get people to have their picture taken. I can re-use these at plenty of school functions!!

  I can't think of anything else to make our booth look old/renaissance like in one week! I have been swamped with National Board stuff and I am brain dead. Does anyone have any cheap/easy decorating ideas that would make our booth look Renaissance-y and fit the theme? Our store is the only art supply store in town, and we opened last July. We want to make a splash, but have definitely left it too late and now I am panicking! Will be working all weekend! Any ideas from you creative lot will be most heartily welcomed!
