That's funny! Our local honor camp does the same thing - local organizations
can write to the warden requesting furniture to be built or for manpower.
Our town park and the children's play yard was landscaped and assembled by
the inmates, they keep the courthouse lawn looking beautiful. When I was the
board president for our library board I had a donation of $200 for a
magazine rack. I was able to get a beautiful solid oak one through the honor
camp.
