I had no choice with the type of furniture I got. Was lucky to have a
room, period! For years the children stood up for art until my principal
finally ordered some stools which had some adjustable legs. I gessoed all
the tops and the lunch period "art club" kids painted all kinds of wonderful
designs on them, incorporating the seat number for each stool. We also
painted designs on the lockers, file cabinets, projector cart, etc. It
certainly made the room look a lot cheerier and kid friendly. Piece of
advice...order at least 6 stools extra than the highest class enrollment you
have. Stools are a favorite item that other teachers may want to borrow (or
appropriate) from you. The tall stools were a favorite of our strings
teacher who needed them for the string bass players. :-)
