Having stools
of differing heights has been helpful to some degree.
The first thing I did when I ordered my new wooden tables was throw out the
grey metal stools with the masonite seats that the art teacher before me had
bought just three years before. They were a real horror story! They were
extremely dangerous for my elementary school kids who would fall off them at an
alarming rate. Most commonly, my students had a habit of wraping their legs around
the legs of the stool and eventually they would tip over. Some kids really
got hurt . Now I have the heavy solid oak chairs with slat backs, the
old-fashion "library chair". Haven't lost a kid yet one those.
