That's true - the kit includes a hot knife to cut the mylar and an iron to
seal it - so if you can just find/purchase a tool to cut the mylar, you
could easily seal it yourself.

Otherwise, Sax carries the kit on page 412 of the new catalog - it's called
"Inflatable Sculpture" for $199.95. The kit also includes an air pump (to
fill with helium), an instructional booklet and video.

Sax sells a kit for making mylar balloons. You could buy the tools (a hot

it.
 I am a little jealous as I have been wanting to get this stuff for a long
time but can't really justify the expense just yet (it would be about $300
for
enough to do 3 classes of 5th graders...about 75 kids).
