May I pick your collective brains?
Yesterday I attended a wonderful meeting on a proposal for a plan for three
local middle schools. One school will focus on fine and performing arts,
including communication arts. It is the most exciting thing I've heard about for a
long time. I have been asked to represent the visual arts on the committee,
but also to gather ideas and information
from music, drama, dance, and creative writing experts, and other art
teachers.
We are in the DC suburbs, so there are great institutions and business
partner opportunities. The proposal is being written by a group with expertise,
and the committee is to have input. We are under a very short timeline, so if
you have any ideas at all about programming, scheduling, whatever--I would
love to add them to our brainstorm list.
