Need help with changing browser cookies

Hello Folks with iMacs,
    If you know how to change the web browser to accept "cookies," please
let me know. All of a sudden today yahoo tells me my brower is rejecting
cookies and refuses my sign-ins to the groups to which I belong. Thanks!
