I bought several bags of beans for the students to use - I spent about
$3.00! There is also an Egyptian game called Wari that is similiar to
Mancala that my 5th graders learned. We spent quite abit of time looking at
the map and finding where the African countries we were studying were
located - I compared it to our Native Americans. We didn't do "African"
art - we did art from specific African countries. I still want to do the
coffins, but with no sink I may move that lesson up to middle school, or
turn it into a drawing lesson. :-)
