How are you using children's literature? Jeryl Hollingsworth is going to
write up some of her lesson plans used with children's literature for
Incredible Art Department. I am inviting others to do so, too. I think this
would be a popular feature on the site. Include in your plan: Name of the
book and author (ISBN # if you have it), project, grade level, additional
resources, materials, motivation/instruction, procedures and optional
assessment tool. Do include an image or two to put with the plan. You can
use any format you are comfortable with. Send as Word or html file. I have a
template I can send via attachment for anyone who wants it -- it is pretty
basic.
I am in no rush for these -- It is just something to think about. I know a
lot of ideas have been posted to the list (I sure wish we could search the
archives). Maybe some of you have used these ideas and written them up into
a plan?
Folks, I know I have thrown out a lot of topics over the last several
days.....and I have received a lot of feedback. I think together we can make
Incredible Art Department a great resource site for art educators.
