Massiel sent me a good one. This site has very detailed unit plans. There is
a lot to see -you might want to check it out. Ask off list and I will send
my complte files of curriculum sites (jdecker@woh.rr.com)

From Massiel:

>>Dear Judy, The best curriculum site I have found up to date has been the
UK
Department of Education and Skills Standards Site:
www.standards.dfes.gov.uk. Click on Schemes of Work - Art & Design. There
is a Teacherīs Guide, and there are very detailed Unit Plans which are
designed to cover the Scope and Sequence (in pull down menu) proposed in the
National
Curriculum. The Units include possible teaching activities, teacher
strategies, student outcomes, etc. There is also a site for parentīs you
can access(I think itīs called the Learning Journey) which explains the
standards for each level in a very simple language. It has a section on
suggested activities to enrich the program at home and out of school. I
have been enjoying this site for a while now and it has helped me shape the
sequence of units I have been programming for school during the past few
years. I am currently the Arts Coordinators at a school in Lima, Perú
(South America); we havenīt developed a web site for the Art Department yet,
but will be during the year.

Thanks for sending this one, Massiel. Still keep posting good curriculum
sites to add to my file.

Wow....it is Thankful Thursday already,

Judy
