That's the one! However, my friends have also taken the non-objective
painting course (can't remember the name of the instructor, but if I saw the
name I would know it- maybe Burt_________) and have also raved. What I
loved was the opportunity to lose myself to my first love-painting,
surrounded by the magnificent skies and mountains of Vermont. What a treat
to have access to huge indoor studio space and to have the opportunity to
connect to other artists on an intellectual and spiritual level! Barbara
shared her approaches to how (she) and other professional painters paint in a
prolific fashion and how to "build' a painting. It was a real growth for me,
a landscape plein aire painter. I must also tell you, however, that I
wasn't thrilled with the dorm rooms or bathrooms as they could have been
cleaner. But, I would definitely go back. Another art experience I
recommend is the one in Florence, Italy for 3 weeks in August. Incredible!
New York State Art Teachers Association helps coodinate or gives in-service
credit for that one. It's much more expensive than Art New England's one week
course, but WOW!
Good luck and enjoy!
