I too would like to see a sculpture that would pay tribute to ALL of our
heroes from 9-11. I would like to see all races somehow shown - all heroes
(firefighters -- police officers - health workers....etc). I think - Let
the photo of the three fire fighters memorialize THAT event - that
photograph is unforgettable- monumental in itself - and lets come up with
something original for the tribute sculpture. There are so many heroes form
9/11. I can see why firefighters may get upset by changing their faces.
Many of the firefighters in New York city are Irish Americans. Maybe this
whole sculpture needs to go under more consideration?
Just my "humble opinion".....and you are welcome to disagree..... I was
gonna keep my mouth shut -- but hey - who does it hurt to have a different
opinion? This really would be a good topic to bring up with kids - get a
discussion going. This is real art folks - real issues in art - get the
kids coming up with alternative solutions.
