I should not operate a computer or stove when I have a sinus headache
(esp. when it goes on for 12+ hours) I'm sorry I did not realize my post
sounded so harsh. Trish I appreciate you telling me about the problem
you had. If you know the URL where the virus scan said there the problem
occurred please forward it to me. I'll recheck that area. I'm thinking
that maybe it was one of the learning game links to other sites like
cool math, or the Vocabulary game that use java. I'll go through the
links and see if I can get a similar message. If I do, I'll notify their
webmaster.

Most of my site is straight HTML via front page but no bells and
whistles because our connection at school is as slow as it could get. (I
was threatening to throw the whole system out the window earlier today).
The only things on my site that can be downloaded to your computer are
the worksheets. I always manually update my virus check and check files
before uploading them, or e-mailing them. I'm trying to teach my
students to do the same. As an extra check, I'll run a full system scan
tonight.

Kimberly
PS I'm going to double check the kitchen now before going to bed. To
make sure I really have all the burners off this time ;-)

Trish,
After I received your warning, I ran a virus scan on all the files
on my website. I even did a manual update of the virus scan (it
automatically updates itself once a week). All the files were clean. If
you went to the Vocabulary games, those are not on my site – they are a
link. The games are Java based and that can set off some virus scans.
Let me know what your virus scan says. I don’t want to be responsible
for spreading any virus. The only way you could get a virus from my site
is downloading one of the worksheets, everything else is straight HTML.
I check those before I put them up and at school when I download them.
(Teaching the kids good habits scan everything that leaves and enters
your computers is rule number one)

Kim-
I went to your website.  It's very impressive.
When I went to Homework, to Vocabulary, my computer's Norton anti-virus
said it found a virus.
I'm running a computer scan now.  I've never gotten that message before,
never had a virus.
Perhaps it needs to be checked out.
Sorry,
trish

Yes,
I have posted webquests, links to learning sites, hotlists, and
learning games I’ve created. The main purpose for my site is for my
students to use in class, I do post their homework each night worksheets
that I’ve created are posted as a rich text file, they can download it
and type the answers if they choose (They get a hard copy in class).
http://home.houston.rr.com/msherbertsclass . It is real disorganized
right now, I’ve been trying to reorganized it.

Hi I asked how many of your children access your sites.  You all told me
things I feared.  So this is the next question.  Do you use your sights
for your own teaching purposes?  If so how? Thanks Susan in Ohio
