As I read my e-mail, I am sittinig with "The Visual
Experience" textbook on my lap, trying to write lesson
plans for next week. This is the third week of the new
semester, and it's the first time I use it. That shows
how flexible I am and how I use it mainly as a guide, not
a rule.

I like to have a textbook handy because the illustrations
are great and the students can get a better look at
reproductions than just from hanging them on the wall. I
also like sequencing(sp?) the Fundamentals class through
the elements and principles. Plus I also use it as
reference for other subjects.
