When the science teacher and I did this project several years ago, we used
regular salt and a whole raw chicken. It is funny because later in the year
we had a big display of kids' work at the high school and one of the many
mummies was left behind. Last week I saw it, in it's little coffin, and it
doesn't stink yet. The Egyptians would be proud!
