Hi, Shari! Keeping in mind, I'm on the elementary school level- I use about
100lbs per grade level per year. I teach 450 kids and 6 grade levels. I also
get my clay from Sheffield Pottery in Mass.. I like their white clay. I
also use the Amaco glazes. Just finished ceramic snowmen with kindergarten.
Three "snowballs" in graduated sizes, turned pinch pots, added clay hats,
scarves, etc... Simple glazing in white, black and one other color. The kids
will use the white glaze that is textured like hard snow. They really had
fun with this.

Have you ever used the Amaco Sunstroke Glazes? Before I found out that they
are not under the elementary health code and stopped using them, I got the
most brilliant warm colors with those glazes.
